Summary
This position looks to support the professional growth and development of an individual who is working towards a degree in Business Management or Engineering. The position will support the AmSafe Operations personnel with project related activities, general clerical tasks and other duties as assigned. This role will provide the intern with business and manufacturing exposure and a range of experience. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to start his or her career in a manufacturing/operations environment. Additional growth opportunities may be available depending on performance. The hours for this role can be flexible to support school schedule. The time commitment for this role is planned to be 40 hours per week.
Position Duties
Essential functions of the position include, but are not limited to:
- Clerical tasks
- Manufacturing process reviews
- Attend project related meetings and complete actions assigned within given timelines
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
- Min of 1 year college credits complete
- Computer applications experience (Excel, Access, etc) higher preferred
- Problem solving, critical thinking and creativity skills are essential
- Strong work ethic, high standards for work product, honesty and integrity
- Must be a self-motivated individual
- Excellent oral, written communications and have a high level of moral and ethical standards
Physical Demands
The employee is required to sit or stand frequently at a desk and work with a PC. The employee will also be required to engage with the production and warehousing environments and personnel which may include extended periods of standing, walking and supporting physical inventory counts.
