Dynamic test protocols and procedures have been established to meet both customer approvals and industry regulations.

FAA and EASA regulations compliant, AmSafe's state-of-the-art sled-test facility conducts between 600 and 1,000+ dynamic tests annually. Its world-class dynamic test facility is so well respected that many OEMs, airlines and seat manufacturers contract directly with AmSafe to test their products. The Federal Aviation Administration has found the AmSafe dynamic test facility to be acceptable for testing of seats to show compliance with the seat dynamic performance standards found in the applicable Federal Aviation Regulations.

Prototype Testing
Extensive prototyping and testing is performed as part of the development process. Items such as the aviation and specialty seatbelts, and seatbelt airbags undergo rigorous testing to include: tensile strength testing, endurance, flammability, corrosion, smoke, toxicity, susceptibility to fluids and substances, temperature, humidity, etc.Full-scale testingIn addition to material and component testing, full-scale product testing is conducted where practical. Along with dynamic testing, all the necessary documentation required by the regulatory authorities (EASA, FAA, Transport Canada, etc.) is provided for the certification of the products manufactured by AmSafe.

Program Management
AmSafe provides technical and program management support to meet customer requirements and expectations. Experienced Program Managers will develop complete project plans including scope and specifications for the design, development, testing, certification, production, installation design and integration for all AmSafe airbag systems.
Customers of AmSafe airbag systems include airframe manufacturers, operators, and aircraft seat manufacturers. Extensive engineering experience and technical knowledge inspires confidence in AmSafe and AmSafe products. The Program Management and Technical Support teams have experience in all areas of aircraft certification and the regulatory approval process (Type Certification Modifications, Supplemental Type Certification programs).
Training
AmSafe provides training programs to meet customer’s specific training needs and objectives. Training can be coordinated onsite or via web-based formats. Training programs include general overview, product application, installation, maintenance and replacement of AmSafe Airbag system and components.
AmSafe provides training courses to the customer audience including: Maintenance, Engineering, QA, Manufacturing, Shipping & Handling, or Flight Crew. AmSafe also delivers courses in train-the-trainer format which include interactive lectures, practical exercises and final evaluations.

ONLY AmSafe and AmSafe Approved Repair Stations ARE AUTHORIZED TO REPAIR OR REFURBISH AmSafe restraints.
AmSafe restraints are highly engineered and dynamically tested to very specific performance and regulatory requirements. An AmSafe repair or refurbishment replaces the webbing and ALL hardware components prone to wear with the exact same part meeting OEM specifications and drawings. Unauthorized repair stations are unable to have the latest approved technical data and approved replacement articles. ONLY AmSafe and AmSafe Approved Repair Stations have access to AmSafe proprietary webbing and hardware. Only AmSafe and Authorized Repair Stations have the required machines and test equipment to properly repair and certify the restraints. The refurbished restraint has the same warranty as a new restraint, and AmSafe commitment to quality and safety.
