Dynamic Testing Facility
As a leader in textile restraint technology, we take pride in the test and verification of our products. We have developed dynamic test protocols and procedures to perform the necessary analysis to meet both customer approvals and industry regulations. We comply with both SAE and FMVSS regulations, and our FAA approved state-of-the-art sled-test facility conducts between 600 to 800 dynamic tests annually. Our world-class dynamic test facility is so well respected that many OEMs, airlines and seat manufacturers contract with us directly to test their product.
We also perform extensive prototyping and testing of our own textile products as part of the development process. Items such as our aviation and specialty seatbelts, seatbelt airbags, and cargo restraint systems undergo rigorous testing to include: tensile strength testing, endurance, flammability, corrosion, smoke, toxicity, susceptibility to fluids and substances, temperature, humidity, etc. In addition to material and component testing, we conduct full-scale product testing where practical and examples include: pallet restraint nets, tie-down strap assemblies and belly-hold restraint nets. Along with dynamic testing, we provide all the necessary documentation required by the regulatory authorities (EASA,CAA, FAA, DOT, MoD, DOD) for the certification of the products manufactured by AmSafe.
