Tarian - Threat protection for the world's military.

A revolutionary textile-based armour system, Tarian provides lightweight protection against rocket propelled grenades. Developed in close collaboration with the UK Ministry of Defence (MoD), the AmSafe® Bridport Tarian system is currently fitted to the UK Army Heavy Equipment Transporters

The significant benefit of Tarian is that it's capable of defeating the same threats as existing bar or slat armour, but at a considerably reduced weight. This patented system provides a savings of up to 85% when compared to traditional armour and yet it is just as effective. This reduction in weight means that the savings can be applied to protection improvements elsewhere on the vehicle. The lightweight modular design of Tarian enables personnel to easily replace the panel system while in the field.

Tarian has been extensively tested by the UK MoD Defence Science & Technology Laboratory. The system was measured against the highest standards to ensure the vehicle armour can function correctly and withstand battlefield wear and tear.

Tarian can be configured to meet a wide range of vehicle and static applications. It was developed as part of a project which aims to produce armour solutions for urgent operational requirements and is in operation with UK forces.
