Wheelchair & Specialty Restraints

Restraints used to keep wheelchair passengers safe and secure.

We offer two types of systems to secure wheelchair passengers when traveling in a commercial vehicle.

WR500 SERIES - Static, Track Fixing
The WR500 range or wheelchair/passenger restraints consist of four webbing straps to secure the chair, each with a standard track fixing on one end and large 'S' hooks on the other. The rear straps are adjustable, with tension secured at 4 points, ensuring that the wheelchair is securely held. The kit is available as a wheelchair tie down or with either a static lap belt or lap and diagonal belt.

Retractable 12v System
The retractable 12 volt system offers a fixed wheelchair restraint separately or integrated with a passenger lap belt or lap and diagonal belt. This system provides an electrical censor reel which is operated by a remote switch, whereby unlocking the device and allowing webbing to be extracted and attached to the front of the wheelchair. Tension is provided on the rear straps and over the center buckles which secures the wheelchair firmly at 4 points. A locking device in the reel ensures that if control of the wheelchair were lost (example: pushing up a ramp), it would be restrained and not allowed to roll backward.

Wheelchair Occupant Restraint (PR004)
Lap and diagonal inertia seatbelt with double buckle system allows a correct fit around the wheelchair and is compliant when used in conjunction with WR527.
