Pallet Nets

Pallet Nets

Pallet nets are critical to aircraft integrity – only the best will do.

The pallet net is the only certified form of textile restraint that, at any point during its life, may be called on to instantly restrain up to 6.8 tons at 3g and thus protect the integrity of an aircraft. For this reason, our pallet nets are designed to exceed the stringent requirements of the FAA and EASA.

Our knotless nets exemplify AmSafe’s commitment to innovation and its position as the leading global provider of engineered air cargo restraint solutions. This design both maximizes the strength-to-weight ratio and ensures that our nets can easily be repaired. When coupled with our proprietary anti-abrasive process, which extends the net life, the knotless construction also reduces snagging, enabling faster build-up times for loads compared to other nets. Specs include:

  • Performance in accordance with NAS 3610 REVISION 10 AND IATA 50/2
  • Overall dimensions – 125″ x 88″ / 96″ x 64″, 80″, 96″ and 118″high (max)
  • Weight ranges from 34lbs (15.5Kgs) to 49.6lbs (22.5Kgs) depending on height
  • Airworthiness requirements comply with FAR 21, FAR 25.621, FAR 25.853, TSO C90c
  • Approving Authority is the FAA/CAA

Many of the world’s global airlines choose AmSafe for their cargo restraint solutions.

QuickZip® Pallet Nets
Our patented QuickZip® Pallet Net uses a simple looping system to secure the four corners of the net, eliminating the need for lashing lines and saving considerable time in the build-up and break down of loads.

Without the lashing line related concerns of untangling, unknotting, searching for missing lines, or replacing damaged lines, QuickZip Pallet Nets can be built-up – “zipped” – by an experienced cargo loader faster than conventional nets. In addition, they can be removed – “unzipped” – as much as 80% faster.

The QuickZip Pallet Net removes the single largest maintenance cost of the net – lashing lines. On average every repaired net requires 2-3 new lashing lines in order to ensure that it fully meets FAA requirements. This means that the QuickZip Pallet Net can save airlines tens of thousands of dollars annually.

What’s more, repair cycles are significantly reduced because most damage is a result of either lashing lines being tied too tight or the net becoming damaged in the rush to breakdown the load. And, QuickZip Pallet Nets are FAA certified saving airlines censure and fines that may occur with uncertified nets and lines.

QuickZip® Container Door Nets
Using the same principle as the original QuickZip® Pallet Net, QuickZip® Container Door Nets feature a series of interlocking loops that close the corners of the net door after loading is complete. It is a system that is far simpler, more efficient and much easier to use than conventional container doors.

QuickZip Container Door Nets are much lighter than the heavier webbing traditionally used for container doors, offering fuel cost savings for airlines. And, being less susceptible to damage, it can also substantially reduce costly repair bills. Additionally, QuickZip Container Door Nets can easily be carried out whereas webbing doors always have to be removed.
