Dennis Gilbert
Executive Vice-President and CFO – AmSafe Global Holdings, Inc.
Mr. Gilbert joined AmSafe in the spring of 2008 with over 26 years of financial management experience in the automotive and aerospace industries. Dennis worked over seven years at GKN Aerospace where he was the vice president of finance responsible for leading the accounting, finance and IT functions for that division’s eight independent businesses. Dennis began his career with Hamilton Sundstrand (a United Technologies Company) where as director of financial operations, his accounting and finance teams supported 4 divisions at 11 sites throughout the United States, Puerto Rico and Singapore which contribute to $800M in revenue. Mr. Gilbert earned his Masters of Business Administration and Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from the University of Illinois.
 
Willard F. Hagan
President – AmSafe Industries, Inc.
Mr. Hagan joined the company in 1994 as operations manager, promoted to general manager and then president of AmSafe Aviation and most recently has been appointed to the new position of President of AmSafe Industries. In this new role, Bill will work with the CEO in overseeing strategic new business and technology initiatives across the AmSafe organization. In addition to the new role, Bill will continue to have responsibility for two key product lines – aviation airbags and defense. Before joining AmSafe, Bill worked for nine years at General Motors Inland Fisher Guide (Delphi) division as a senior project manager and oversaw airbag technology development and managed model year programs for instrument panel and occupant safety systems. Mr. Hagan earned his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Dayton where he majored in Mechanical Engineering technology.
 
Ian Kentfield
Senior Vice President – AmSafe Industries, Inc.
Mr. Kentfield joined the company in 1996 as finance director, then promoted to general manager of AmSafe Bridport for Asia and the Middle East, and will now assume the position of Senior Vice President of AmSafe Industries. In this role, Ian will lead all of AmSafe’s commercial aviation cargo business worldwide. In 2001, Ian led the company’s development into overseas manufacturing with the establishment of a facility in Sri Lanka. This was followed in 2004 with the opening of a facility in Kunshan, China. Prior to AmSafe, Mr. Kentfield qualified as a Cost & Management accountant with the UK Ministry of Defense. Mr. Kentfield earned an MBA from the University of South West England.
 
Herb Mardany
Senior Vice President – AmSafe Industries, Inc.
Mr. Mardany joined AmSafe in 1999 as director of operations for the AmSafe Aviation, promoted to vice president in 2005 and now has been elevated to Senior Vice President of AmSafe Industries. Herb has full responsibility for AmSafe’s worldwide aviation seatbelt business along with the day-to-day manufacturing operations in the Phoenix facility. Before joining AmSafe, Herb was business unit manager for InteSys Technologies automotive business. InteSys Technologies, since bought by Textron, was an injection molding and component supplier to the automotive and telecommunication industry. Mr. Mardany has held positions in engineering, quality and operations management for aerospace and electronics companies such as Texas Instruments, Storage Technology and Gould. Mr. Mardany earned a Bachelor of Science degree with honors from Rutgers University, College of Engineering, specializing in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research.
 
Peter Miller
Senior Vice President – AmSafe Industries, Inc.
Mr. Miller joined AmSafe in 2008 and brings with him over 17 years of experience in the design and manufacturing of occupant restraint systems. Peter came to AmSafe from Holmbergs Child Safety Company Ltd., where he established a manufacturing factory in Hong Kong and recently held the position of chief operating officer. Peter began his career at Indiana Mills and Manufacturing Incorporated, with key responsibilities in product and market development, research and development, and concept engineering. During his tenure at Indiana Mills, Peter managed the development of new occupant restraints for on- and off-road commercial vehicles, child safety seats, and marine and specialty products. Mr. Miller earned his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering at Purdue University.
 
Michael Smith
Vice President of Operational Excellence – AmSafe Industries, Inc.
Mr. Smith brings with him over 30 years of experience in both aerospace and commercial manufacturing. Prior to joining AmSafe, Michael held the position of vice president, global development with Ducommun, Inc., where he was responsible for strategic supplier partnerships and establishing a low-cost aircraft structures facility in Guaymas, Mexico. While at Ducommun, Michael also held the position of vice president of materials and supply chain for the Aerostructures division; here he oversaw 75 personnel in a multi-site aerospace manufacturing environment with responsibility covering several locations worldwide. Mr. Smith earned a Bachelor’s degree in Management and Organizational Behavior from University of La Verne and holds a Lean Six-Sigma Greenbelt.
