Cargo Nets to be Supplied on the New SuperJet 100 Aircraft
PHOENIX (April 20, 2011) – AmSafe® Industries, Inc., the leading provider of engineered restraint systems to the aviation, defense and specialty vehicle markets, today announced that it has been awarded a contract for JSC Sukhoi Civil Aircraft’s supply of cargo restraint nets for the new SuperJet 100 family of regional aircraft.
Sukhoi Civil Aircraft is Russia’s leading aircraft OEM and the SuperJet 100 is its newest jet for the civil aviation market. AmSafe has been working closely with Sukhoi to design a cargo restraint system that will meet the unique specifications of this new regional jet.
AmSafe is providing a full package of cargo restraint design and manufacture, as well as aftermarket services for the new regional aircraft family that is due to enter service in the coming months. The contract continues throughout the life of the aircraft manufacture program and will remain valid as long as the SuperJet 100 is in operation.
